Water Infrastructure Investment Plan

The WIIP (Water Infrastructure Investment Plan) is New Jersey’s program to optimize the use of limited federal and state resources to address high priority water infrastructure needs throughout the State. The WIIP is dedicated to protecting and enhancing New Jersey’s water quality and water infrastructure which is vital to the State’s health and economy. The WIIP is currently implemented through the administration of the Water Bank program through the Division of Water Quality and Division of Water Supply and Geoscience.

Technical Assistance

NJ-TAP (New Jersey Technical Assistance Program) assists qualifying applicants through third party providers with program navigation, financial and needs assessments, community engagement, and engineering services. 

Water Needs Survey

Clean Watershed Needs Survey (CWNS) and the Drinking Water Infrastructure Needs Survey (DWINS) survey communities to identify any water quality and water quality related public health infrastructure investment needs over the next 20 years.

WIIP Sessions

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hosts a variety of virtual meetings on Water Infrastructure Investment Plan (WIIP) topics, such as, Intended Use Plan Public Hearings or Technical Assistance Information Sessions.
