Interested in serving on the Science Advisory Board?
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) is seeking distinguished scientists in New Jersey to serve on our Science Advisory Board (SAB) or on one of the SAB’s four standing committees:
- Climate and Atmospheric Sciences
- Ecological Processes
- Public Health
- Water Quality and Quantity
The SAB provides independent peer review and advice to the Commissioner, as requested by the Commissioner, on scientific and technical issues relevant to the Department’s mission.
We encourage those interested to submit an application. Applicants can nominate themselves or nominate co-workers and/or colleagues; Appointments occur on an annual basis and there are typically openings for the board and committees.
Applicants should also review the ethics requirements for participating on the SAB or standing committees, as well as the administrative order that convened the SAB for additional details.
