The existing plaza at the end of Audrey Zapp Drive, which connects the Empty Sky Memorial and the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal Building with the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, will undergo a facelift, improving accessibility and creating a more welcoming space for visitors.

A clearly defined pathway leading to the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal will provide visitors with access to information, programming, restrooms, and ferry tickets to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

The plaza will also feature additional seating for enhanced comfort and convenience.

The project will also include the transformation of Parking Lot #9 into a dedicated lot for buses and visitor drop-off.

Groundbreaking on the Terminal Plaza is expected in 2025.
