Two Rivers, One Future
New Jersey Fostering Regional Adaption through Municipal Economic Scenarios (FRAMES)
The NJ FRAMES, also known as Two Rivers, One Future, is a regional and collaborative effort in coastal Monmouth County, NJ that seeks to understand and begin to address the region’s future flood vulnerability. The result is a long-term Regional Resilience and Adaptation Action Plan that identifies ways communities can reduce risks and impacts through individual and region-wide actions.
The region is comprised of 15 communities surrounding the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers located in Monmouth County. These communities came together through the Two Rivers Council of Mayors, which is an informal body of government that brings together these communities around their shared vulnerability to severe weather and repetitive flooding events.
