
Office of Climate Resilience
The Office of Climate Resilience (OCR), directed by New Jersey’s Chief Climate Resilience Officer, provides planning, resources, and technical support to communities throughout the state to help them make informed decisions about climate resilience and coastal resources. OCR oversees New Jersey’s Coastal Management Program, development and implementation of the Statewide Climate Change Resilience Strategy, coordination of the Interagency Council on Climate Resilience, implementation of the Resilient NJ planning assistance program, coordination with the New Jersey State Planning Commission, and the Blue Acres program. OCR is responsible for coordinating with DEP policies, programs, and activities to plan for the impacts and the associated hazards of climate change and promote public awareness of climate change science.
