This new general permit authorizes stormwater discharges to ground water for facilities involved in sand and gravel mining/quarrying operations.

Sand and gravel operations that were previously authorized under the Mining and Quarrying Stormwater General Permit but have no discharges to surface water may be eligible for this new stormwater general permit.
