The National Geologic Map Database (NGMBD) – An archive of geologic information for New Jersey and other parts of the country.
Recent Earthquakes in Northeastern U.S. – Give information on recent and past earthquakes in the northeastern United States.
Wetlands of New Jersey  – Reports the findings of the New Jersey wetlands inventory by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Discusses current status and future outlook.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Conservation Library  – Library that provides a suite of collections and resources -many licensed for FWS employees only – that aid in information discovery.
New Jersey Water Science Center – High-quality hydrologic data and water-science research to address the water-resource priorities of the Nation, global trends, and support statewide water-resource infrastructure and management needs.
National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program (NGGDPP) –  An archive that includes metadata records describing geological, geophysical, and biological collections and data managed by state geological surveys and the U.S. Geological Survey. These collections include rock samples, thin sections, field notebooks, photographs, maps, datasets, and more.
New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Topics –  An archive of assorted NJDEP topics or issues.
Governmental Agencies
United States Geological Survey (USGS) – A scientific agency the studies the landscape of the United States, its natural resources, and the natural hazards that threaten it.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) – A scientific and regulatory agency that forecasts weather, monitors oceanic and atmospheric conditions, charts the seas, conducts deep sea exploration, and manages fishing and protection of marine mammals and endangered species in the U.S. exclusive economic zone.
United State Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) – A regulatory agency that is tasked with environmental protection matters.

Geologic Society of America (GSA) – A global scientific society with members from academia, government, and industry in more than 100 countries.
Association of American State Geologists (AASG) –  An organization of the chief executives of the state geological surveys in 50 states and Puerto Rico.
Geologic Association of New Jersey (GANJ) – A non-profit organization that through its annual meeting and field guides provides and encourages Earth Science Education and the distribution of Geological information.
The Watershed Institute  – Association that works to protect and restore our water and natural environment in central New Jersey through conservation, advocacy, science and education.

The following are useful utilities for coordinate conversion and ArcView customization.

NJ Coordinate Conversation Utility
Coordinate Conversion Utility – a MS Visual Basic v.6 ® program comprised of three modules. The main module allows for the conversion of New Jersey State Plane Coordinates to or from latitude/longitude and also displays the Atlas Sheet Coordinate and the name of the USGS 7½ minute quadrangle. The other two modules perform conversions from Atlas Sheet Coordinate to or from latitude/longitude and decimal degrees to or from degrees, minutes and decimal seconds. The utility also allows for batch conversions from file input of state plane, latitude/longitude, or atlas sheet coordinates.
