The purpose of the R3 Program is to place a priority on recruiting, retaining and reactivating sportsmen and women into active hunting, angling, and shooting sport participants. This is done through new innovative programs and workshops, improved management of wildlife species and habitats, as well as developing a conservation stewardship.

NJ Fish & Wildlife Mentoring Program
Becoming a Mentor
This program includes hunters and shooting sports enthusiast willing to share their knowledge and passion to new and inexperienced hunters through various workshops and mentored hunts. Anyone interested in becoming an R3 Mentor and participate in our Programs must complete a Mentor Application , as well as complete the required Training Videos and questionnaire. Failure to complete the training requirements will result in an invalid application.
Once you fill out a R3 Mentor Application our R3 Staff will contact you via email regarding your next steps of completing Mentor Training.
The Training videos are produced by The Council To Advance Shooting Sports, a nationwide partnership to which their mission is to facilitate the promotion and growth of hunting and the shooting sports and the education of the public on the contributions that hunters and shooters make towards wildlife conservation.
