Revised General Operating Permit GOP-003

The Division of Air Quality is announcing the opportunity for public comment on a proposed revised general operating permit entitled: “GOP-003 for an Emergency Generator burning Distillate Fuel” at major air facilities. Consistent with the latest State and Federal regulations, the revised GOP-003 incorporates the revised definition of emergency generator at N.J.A.C. 7:27-22 and 19.1 regarding construction, repair and maintenance (CRM) activities.

The Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment is scheduled to be published in the September 3, 2019 issue of the New Jersey Register.  There is a 30 day public comment period. The proposed revised General Operating Permit is available for review at the Department’s website: http://www.nj.gov/dep/aqpp
