New RADIUS Reference Tables for Air Permits/Emission Statements
This notification is being sent out as a reminder that there are 6 new RADIUS reference tables available for download at our website (https://njdepwptest.net/boss/radius/radius-reference-tables/). These reference tables are needed to enable new reporting requirements for permitting and emission statements.
GHG Monitoring and Reporting Rulemaking (https://www.nj.gov/dep/rules/adoptions/adopt-20220606a.pdf)
- A new emission statement applicability threshold for methane was added in N.J.A.C. 7:27-21.2; facilities that emit or have the potential to emit methane at a rate greater than or equal to 100 tons/year of methane will be required to submit an annual emission statement
- Major facilities must report methane at the source level on emission statements (see exact requirements in N.J.A.C. 7:27-21.3(b));
(Methane has already been required for reporting in permits when greater than or equal to 100 tons/year.)
Fumigants/Air Toxics Rulemaking (https://www.nj.gov/dep/rules/adoptions/adopt-20220404a.pdf)
- 13 new HAPs are reportable on emission statements; see reporting thresholds in N.J.A.C. 7:27-21.3(b):
Benzo(a)pyrene
Chlorine
Cobalt metal and compounds
Cyanide compounds (as hydrogen cyanide)
Ethyl benzene
Glycol ethers (as 2-methoxy ethanol)
Hydrogen fluoride
Methyl tert-butyl ether
Naphthalene
Phosphorous
Styrene
Triethylamine
Xylene
- 3 new HAPs are reportable on air permits; these substances are not required to be reported on emission statements:
N-propyl bromide
Sulfuryl Fluoride
Hydrogen Sulfide
Please download the new reference tables and import into RADIUS using the instructions at https://njdepwptest.net/boss/radius/radius-reference-tables/.
