Revised General Permit GP-005A
The Division of Air Quality is announcing the opportunity for public comment on a proposed revised general permit entitled: “GP-005A for Emergency Generator(s) burning Distillate Fuels at minor air facilities. The revised GP-005A incorporates the following changes, consistent with the latest State and Federal regulations:
• The revised definition of emergency generators at N.J.A.C. 7:27-7:27-8.2 and 19.1 regarding construction, repair and maintenance (CRM) activities;
• Delete the provisions that allows the use of any existing distillate fuel oil with sulfur content greater than 15 ppmw (parts per million by weight) contained in the fuel oil storage tank.
The Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment is scheduled to be published in the July 1, 2019 issue of the New Jersey Register. There is a 30 day public comment period. The proposed revised General Permit is available for review at the Department’s website: http://www.nj.gov/dep/aqpp
