SOTA Manuals Workgroups

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) held its quarterly Industrial Stakeholder’s meeting on June 3, 2022. The Department has now posted the meeting highlights and other relevant information at https://www.state.nj.us/dep/aqpp/downloads/isg/6322highlights.pdf.

During the meeting, the Department announced that it would begin putting together workgroups to develop a new SOTA manual for Landfills and to update existing SOTA manuals for Boilers, Engines (RICE), and Turbines. Since then, the Department has added two more SOTA manuals for updating: Graphic Arts and Surface Coating.

The Department has already received workgroup participation requests from several ISG meeting attendees. This is a reminder that anyone interested in participating in a workgroup for any of the SOTA manuals, please send an email to Khawar Kalim (khawar.kalim@njdepwptest.net) by July 12, 2022. Please include your contact information, a short description of your relevant expertise, and which of the workgroup(s) you wish to participate in.
