Submittal Process

Project proposals are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Eligible projects are categorized and considered for award as funding sources become available. Submittal of a project proposal does not guarantee that it will be selected for funding.

Most projects under the Diesel Modernization Program will require the decommissioning of an old, diesel vehicle/equipment piece for every new vehicle/equipment piece purchased.

Grant limitations vary according to funding source. If your submitted project proposal is selected for funding, program staff will provide you with the detailed limitations and other requirements that are applicable to the available funding source your project is matched to.

This is a reimbursement program: Funds will only be disbursed after the project has been completed and fully paid for by the applicant.
