Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA)
ISRA requires owners of facilities with specific industrial classifications to investigate and remediate prior to property transfers when the business ceases operations or is sold. Facilities with certain North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are subject to ISRA. To search for a specific NAICS code, please see the United States Census Bureau Page at North American Industry Classification System. Frequently Asked Questions about NAICS are available at Common NAICS Questions.
The Department has developed a Guide describing the ISRA process to assist property owners and Licensed Site Remediation Professionals.
