Teacher In-Service or Professional Development
DEP holds teacher in-services and professional development workshops on Project WET, Wild, and Learning Tree (described below.)

Project Learning Tree
K-8 formal and non-formal educators
Using the forest as a “window” into exploration of local and global environments, students of PLT are made aware of the ecological, historical, cultural, and economical perspectives of resource management. Through this awareness we are able to make wise decisions concerning the conservation and stewardship of our natural resources.
Project Learning Tree lessons are correlated to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. PLT workshops are provided for a nominal fee, in which all participants receive the PLT guide filled with over 100 lessons.
A 2-hour ‘Climate Education’ workshop is also available.
