5-year Recertification
Commercial and Private Applicators must earn 16 credits per category and 8 core credits during their 5-year recertification period or pass the exam(s) again in their fifth year. A licensing year runs from November 1st through October 31st. Classes taken outside the 5-year recertification period will not be accepted. Credits roll back to zero after renewal at the end of the recertification period.
Applicators can obtain a maximum of 25% of their CEUs for each category from online courses during their five-year recertification. Online courses can be identified on an applicator’s transcript by the date 01-JAN. Review your credit history before signing up for online classes to make sure you are eligible. Courses listed by any other date are not subject to the 25% restriction. Classes that are not dated January 1st and have their county listed as “various” in the searches below are remote courses that require the student to be monitored on camera for the duration of the class.
Continuing education credits for a course should post within a month of attendance. Please contact the course coordinator if classes do not post to your transcript in a timely manner.
