Proposed Action:

The Township of Hillsborough, in the County of Somerset, New Jersey has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Transactions and Public Land Administration, proposing an amendment to its Recreation and Open Space Inventory (ROSI) to remove property located in the Township of Hillsborough identified as Block 150, Lot 4Q on the tax map of the Township (Property). The Property is a 57.172-acre parcel located on Auten Road. The Township asserts that the Property is held for and restricted to agricultural uses under a pre-existing Somerset County Agricultural Development Board restriction and was erroneously listed on the ROSI since it is not held for recreation and or conservation purposes.

Park Name:  Unnamed Parkland in Tinton Falls, Monmouth County

Proposed Action:

The County of Monmouth will hold a public hearing on a request for an Amendment to its Recreation and Open Space Inventory (“ROSI”) to decrease the total square foot area/acreage by removing 3,719+/- square feet (0.085+/- acres) from a 88,551.461+/- square foot (2.033+/- acre) parcel located in the Borough of Tinton Falls, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The property is identified as Block 60.01, Lot 3.01 on the Borough of Tinton Falls Tax Map and is located adjacent to the Swimming River and Monmouth County Bridge S-14 to the north, and County Route 50 (Swimming River Road) (“CR 50”) to the west, at the northerly boundary of Tinton Falls that adjoins the southerly boundary of the Township of Middletown and the northeasterly boundary of Colts Neck.  This request for a ROSI amendment is made to designate 3,719 +/- square feet (0.085 +/- acre) to be added to the future width of CR 50 according to formal Resolutions and directives issued by the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders for Monmouth County’s Road Plan for CR 50 prior to the County’s acquiring the property.  See public hearing notice for additional details.

The Township of Toms River, in the County of Ocean, New Jersey has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program (DEP), proposing an amendment to its Recreation Open Space Inventory (ROSI) by removing property located in the Township of Toms River and identified as Block 668, Lot 9 on the tax map of the Township (Property) and correcting the acreage listed on the ROSI in connection with Block 668.

The Property is a 0.779-acre parcel located on East Water Street. The Township asserts that the Property is a parking lot which was erroneously listed on the ROSI and was not acquired for, nor used for, recreation or conservation purposes.
