Proposed Action: 

Ocean County proposes to construct a new County park on a 260-acre parcel formerly owned by Manchester Township.  The proposed County park will occupy 33 acres of the property.  The property is currently undeveloped.  Proposed amenities include athletic fields and courts, picnic pavilions, a spray park, playgrounds, hiking trails, a comfort station, a maintenance yard, and associated parking.

As indicated in the public hearing notice linked above, public comment will also be accepted on the previous administrative transfer of the property from Manchester Township to Ocean County in order to bring the transfer into conformance with the procedural requirements of N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.5.
