Water Quality Restoration Grants for Non-Point Source Pollution
The Department issued a Solicitation for Water Quality Restoration Grants to reduce non-point source pollution and construct green infrastructure projects in Combined Sewer Overflow Communities. Projects selected must utilize green infrastructure, (green roofs, blue roofs, rain gardens, porous pavement, etc.) to reduce storm water runoff from vacant property or brownfields, within drainage areas hydraulically connected to CSOs in urban communities. DEP has allocated $6 million in MTBE and other NRD recoveries for this grant program. DEP’s Community Collaborative Initiative is overseeing this effort.
