Passaic River Restoration Grant – Lower Passaic River And Tributaries Grant Summary (2016)

Approved Projects:
Town of Harrison Cape May Street Park – The project is the development of a new waterfront park on a 12.5 acres site. The proposed park includes a riverfront walkway and esplanade, a playground, dog park, wetland meadows, and interpretive signage. Total Project Cost: $6,800,000, Total Grant Award: $3,000,000.
Bloomfield Township Third River Wetland Restoration – Bloomfield converted an urbanized, flood-prone brownfield into a 4.2-acre wetland at the confluence of the Third River and Spring Brook. Total Project Cost: $3,900,000. Total Grant Award: $3,000,000.
