Pomona Woods Preserve

Hamilton Township, Atlantic County

Deer Hunting: Not Permitted

Preserve Info

A mature forest of pines sway high above the waist-high blueberries. A wonderful, open feel is had in this closed canopy forest. Towhee and other forest birds also like the forest cover. Walkers can enjoy a series of unmarked woods roads passing though this forest. Established though a 147-acre land donation in 1990, additional acquisitions by the Green Acres Program have expanded the preserve. With planning and foresight, the Trust created the Pomona Woods Project Area, a vision for how the preserve might someday link to other nearby Trust properties and provide larger scale habitat protection in the area.
