NOAA Fisheries issued a Notice on September 16, 2022, about a website that claimed to process both federal and state fishing permits. The site is called the Commercial Fishing Permits Center. However, NOAA stated the site is in no way affiliated with NOAA or any state.
NOAA advised the public not to use the site when applying for a state or federal fishery permit.
