Scott C. Crans
Administrator, OMCC & Secretary, NJ State Mosquito Control Commission
Scott has been working in mosquito control and research for 33 years but grew up surrounded by this work. He began his career directing the Sussex County Division of Mosquito Control, where he spent 12 years before moving on to teaching, research and program development for New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) at Rutgers University following the introduction of West Nile virus into New Jersey. After 16 years with Rutgers Mosquito Research and Control, Scott became OMCC Administrator in 2016 to assist with the development and coordination of the state mosquito control programs following the introduction Zika virus into North America.
