Step 1

Get your Conservation ID number from New Jersey Fish and Wildlife’s Electronic Licensing System (if you do not already have one.)

Step 2

Take your Hunter Education or Trapper Education Course OR locate your out of state Hunter Education card and email to njhuntered@dep.nj.gov with your CID number.

Step 3

Purchase your Hunting License. You can buy your license one of two ways:

• In-person at a license agent
• Online – After Hunter Education staff enter your information electronically, you will receive an email confirmation to allow you to purchase your license from home.

• Small Game
• Upland Game Birds
• Deer
• Bear
• Wild Turkey
• Waterfowl
• Trapping species
