COUNCILS AND COMMITTEES
The Fish and Wildlife Councils and Committees of the State of New Jersey have a unique role in managing our fish and wildlife resources. The Governor appoints members of the Councils as unpaid volunteers who act in the best interest of the State’s fish and wildlife resources on behalf of the public. These Councils help create and finalize each year’s hunting and fishing regulations and enable our resources’ professional and scientific management. There are six New Jersey Councils and Committees, and there are also two federal bodies on which the State is represented, as well as the State Mosquito Control Commission.

Meeting Schedules, Agendas and Minutes
PUBLIC FORUMS
Each year, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife holds several public forums to improve communication with New Jersey’s hunters, anglers and wildlife watchers. These forums allow the discussion of ideas on new or changing regulations, programs and habitat management of the future. They are the perfect opportunity for all to learn about existing programs and to share their views and recommendations.
