Wildlife Disease Fact Sheets

Wildlife Disease Fact Sheets

The Office of Fish and Wildlife Health and Forensics has created a collection of wildlife disease fact sheets featuring wildlife diseases of concern. The purpose of these fact sheets is to inform the public about wildlife diseases they may come across when enjoying the outdoors. Some of these diseases may also be of importance to hunters who regularly come into contact with wildlife. It is important to keep a safe distance from potentially diseased or deceased wildlife as some wildlife diseases are zoonotic (transmissible to humans) or can infect domestic animals. If you suspect you have found a diseased animal, please contact 1-877-WARN-DEP.
