NJ GAME CODE MEETING RE-SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 9
(04/07) TRENTON – The Fish and Game Council's Annual Game Code meeting originally scheduled for tomorrow, February 24, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 9 at the DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife Central Region Office in Robbinsville, Monmouth County.
The meeting date was changed to accommodate the schedules of DEP Commissioner Bradley Campbell and Council members who are unable to attend due to Governor McGreevey's budget address.
At the re-scheduled meeting, New Jersey Fish and Game Council will discuss proposed changes to the 2004-05 statewide game code. The Fish and Game Council is responsible for adopting annual revisions to the game code including season dates, bag limits, permit quotas, hunting procedures and other hunting and trapping regulation changes. Once officially proposed, the public is encouraged to review and comment on the amendments.
After the morning meeting on March 9 at 10 a.m., the Fish and Game Council will continue with its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 1 p.m.
The Division's Central Region Office (located on the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area) is located at the corner of East Branch and Eldridge roads. Visitors can take exit 11 off Rt. 195 (left off ramp) and follow the signs to the office.
