Looking for survey maps of prior open space acquisitions?

While some information may be in Green Acres archives, the managing entities for open space and recreational areas will have records for all lands that they manage. While you are always welcome to file an OPRA request, it is often faster to contact the managing entity directly to obtain this information. While Green Acres assists in the purchase of real property interests (fee or easement), it is not the managing entity for any land.

Please note that the Green Acres State Land Acquisition Standard Scope of Survey Services (as posted on this web site) applies to any lands acquired for the New Jersey divisions listed below, or in partnership with the State Agricultural Development Committee (SADC), local units, or nonprofit organizations.

For surveys of properties for which Green Acres may have provided funding assistance, contact the municipality, county, or nonprofit owners directly.

The following is a list of state organizations and agencies that may have information in their files preceding the formation of Green Acres in 1961, or more current surveys beyond what is kept in the Green Acres facilities.

Looking for aerial photos or tax map parcel data?

The State of New Jersey’s Transparency Center has made on-line mapping, including tax parcels available to the public at no cost. While not a searchable site beyond display by county and municipality, it does allow zooming and panning over base maps of aerials or street maps.

The New Jersey Bureau of GIS offers its NJDEP GeoWeb, with access to a range of base map imagery including aerials, tidelands, wetlands, and topography over a range of years (some back to 1930). This GIS site is searchable by street address and shows tax map parcels when zoomed in sufficiently.
