Join New Jersey Fish and Wildlife’s R3 Hunting & Shooting Program for a mentored turkey hunting workshop introducing women 18 years and older to the world of turkey hunting. This program is designed to provide participants with an informative and friendly environment to learn new skills while hunting for wild turkeys.

Workshop Overview:
New Jersey Fish and Wildlife’s R3 Hunting & Shooting Program, in partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation, Landis Sewerage Authority and Good Sports Gunning Club, is offering this mentored turkey hunting workshop. To participate in the workshop, you must have a shotgun (shotguns cannot be loaned out). Some hunting and shooting experience is preferred. This workshop will cover the following topics: life history & biology of the wild turkey, hunting regulations, equipment, scouting, patterning your shotgun (range), planning your hunt, and turkey calling, followed by an actual mentored hunt.

Workshop Details:
Sunday, April 27 – Field Day (presentation, range, scouting, calling, mentor meet up and hunt plan)
Monday, April 28 – Mentored hunt
Tuesday, April 29 – Mentored hunt

Workshop Fee: FREE

Facilities: The mentored hunt will take place with special permission at the Landis Sewerage Authority in Vineland, NJ. The Field Day session will be at Good Sports Gunning Club in Millville, NJ.

Lodging/Meals: Lodging can be on your own or we currently have cabins available at Parvin State Park FREE of charge. Pairing up with another fellow female hunter(s) may be a possibility. Meals will be provided during the program. An agenda and more information will be sent out to participants who are selected.

• Valid 2025 New Jersey All Around OR Firearm hunting license.
• Zone 21-B Turkey Permit (How-to Instructions will be sent before the deadline)
• Shotgun (shotguns will not be loaned out)
