The Wallkill River DU Chapter, in partnership with the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge and New Jersey Fish & Wildlife’s R3 Program, will be hosting a waterfowl hunting workshop on August 26, 2023. This workshop is designed to educate hunters and to recruit, retain, and reactivate waterfowl hunters to preserve this storied tradition. This workshop is sure to have waterfowl hunters excited for the upcoming season!

The workshop is open to new or inexperienced hunters and those who may be interested in getting back into waterfowl hunting. The program will include an in-depth mixture of classroom and field demonstrations. If you have your own calls or equipment, feel free to bring them along. For those who may participate in firearms handling, you must possess a Hunter Education Certification or a Firearms Hunting License. Participants can expect to gain knowledge that will help them feel comfortable to begin their first waterfowl season, or their first season back after a long hiatus.
