Talkin’ Turkey Seminar

NJ Fish & Wildlife will host a free seminar on wild turkeys at the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center on April 1 at 1:00 p.m. The program will be conducted by current NJ Fish & Wildlife Turkey Project Leader. Topics covered will included the agency’s Wild Turkey Restoration Project, the life history of the state’s largest game bird, and upcoming research efforts to ensure continued stable populations.

This seminar is designed to provide participants with an informative and welcoming environment in which to learn new outdoor skills while learning about one of New Jersey’s favorite springtime game species, the wild turkey. Bring your turkey calls and your turkey questions. The clinic is open to all individuals, and will demonstrate the use of box, slate, and air operated turkey calls.
