Let’s Go Fishing – Pequest! An Intro to Fishing for Parents

Does a child in your life want to fish, but you’ve never learned how? Moms, dads and caregivers, please join us as we teach the basics of angling. Spend two evenings, July 8 and 15, at the Pequest Natural Resource Education Center in Oxford, NJ learning about equipment, techniques, and tactics. At the end of this experience, you will know fishing basics and more importantly you will be prepared to teach children how to fish safely.
We provide the learning equipment, expertise and a trout stocked pond for this adventure. We can’t promise you any trout at the end of the event because this is fishing not catching, but what we can promise is some fun, a few laughs and a learning experience like no other in the relative peace and quiet of an early summer’s evening on a quiet pond.
So, find someone willing to take the kids for a few hours and join us for a life changing experience.
*Must attend both nights (July 8 and 15)

Cost – $20
Requirement – NJ Fishing license and trout stamp for those over 16 years of age.
