
Introduction to Shooting Sporting Clays Workshop

Join New Jersey Fish & Wildlife’s R3 Hunting and Shooting Program, in partnership with the Freehold Fin Fur & Feather Sportsmen’s Club of New Jersey for an Introduction to Shooting Sporting Clays Workshop on Sunday, June 8, 2025. This workshop is designed for new recreational shooters 18 years or older providing them with an introduction to recreational shooting through a fun and informational day at the range.
Workshop Overview:
This FREE workshop will include a brief lecture on safe gun handling and an in-depth introduction by top New Jersey shooting instructors about the fun and excitement of shooting sporting clays. Participants are required to bring their own shotgun. All ammunition and ear protection will be provided at the workshop.
Requirements:
Participants must be 18 years of age or older and must have passed Hunter Education prior to this event. Participants who are selected are required to bring their own 12 or 20-gauge shotgun, (NO other gauge will be permitted at this workshop). Participants must also bring their own eye protection. (Prescription glasses and sunglasses are permitted.)
When: June 8, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Rain date will be Sunday, June 22, 2025)
