Fly Tying Crash Course

Have you wanted to explore fly tying but didn’t know where to start? Do you have a fly-tying kit and it all looks strange to you? Join the staff at Pequest Natural Resource Education Center and let us walk you through the tools and process of fly tying. This class is two (2) days*, each day will be two hours.

Day 1, May 19, 10 am – 12:00 pm – We will go over the basic tools, fly tying vices, materials and how to start and finish a fly.

Day 2, May 23, 10 am -12 pm – You will get to tie a classic woolly bugger, an extremely productive fly. When you leave day two you will have a few woolly buggers to take with you.

All tools and materials will be provided.

For ages 12 and above. Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Cost: $10.00 payable on the day of the program by credit card or by check made out to State of NJ.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.

*Participants must attend both days.
