Join a network of dedicated Environmental Justice advocates across New Jersey. The Environmental Justice Directory is a vital resource for connecting with community-based organizations, concerned residents, and EJ advocates committed to meaningful engagement in overburdened communities (OBCs). 

Why apply? 

  • Stay Informed: Receive information about public hearings and important updates related to Environmental Justice initiatives in New Jersey. 
  • Amplify Your Impact: Become a liaison between meeting organizers and overburdened communities, fostering informed engagement and community empowerment. 
  • Network Opportunities: Connect with like-minded advocates statewide to collaborate and support EJ efforts across the state. 
  • Support EJ Rule Compliance: Ensure robust community participation and feedback to permit applicants throughout the EJ Law process. 

Who is eligible to join? 

  • Community-based organizations (CBO): Local nonprofits, advocacy organizations, service organizations, civic organizations, after-school programs, and more. 
  • Concerned residents: Individuals who may not be affiliated with a CBO but are active members of their community and have a breadth of community connections. 
  • EJ advocates: Leaders within CBOs whose advocacy interests align with the principles of environmental justice.
