NJPDES and TWA Permit Records Information
Various reports on New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) and Treatment Works Approval (TWA) permits are available through the Department’s Open Public Records Act Website. More specifically, these reports are available through the DEP DataMiner application. In general, the reports made available through the DataMiner application contain the information that is most often requested through OPRA. Within the application, you will find a variety of dynamic reports that will provide you with up to the minute results based on information contained within the Department’s database. These dynamic reports are available and provide information on the following:
- Active NJPDES permits;
- General information specific to a NJPDES permit;
- Monitoring Report Form (MRF) data (i.e. Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR), Waste Characterization Report (WCR), and Residuals Transfer Report (RTR) data;
- MRF Submission Service Facility Security Administrators (FSAs);
- NJPDES Stormwater Construction (5G3) permits; and
- Capacity Assurance Program (CAP) threshold evaluations
In addition, static/published reports providing permit information are also available through the DataMiner application.
Please Note: At this time, copies of permits, applications, and correspondences are not available to be viewed via a report. However, such information could be provided electronically by contacting the appropriate permitting program or filing a formal OPRA request.
