Electric Vehicle Outreach and Ride and Drives
Our education and outreach events expose a new audience to electric vehicles and help show how easy it is to incorporate clean transportation into your life.
We work with EV advocates and other organizations to bring these events to life. Plug In America, NJ CAR, NJEVA, and electric vehicle owners throughout the state are just some examples of this partnership.
Complete our Outreach Request Form if you are interested in exploring the opportunity to host a Ride and Drive or have our clean transportation experts table at your event.
EV Ride & Drives
These events allow participants to test drive an EV in a fun, informative, and engaging environment.
Our DriveGreen team is on site to register participants for test drives and answer questions about electric vehicles and available incentives.
EV retailers and dealerships provide the vehicles and staff to help facilitate test drives.
Local EV owners are often invited to display their vehicles and chat about their personal experience with driving electric.
Industry partners including utilities, installation companies, and local sustainability organizations are invited to join to make the event a clean transportation one-stop shop.

Our electric vehicle and anti-idling teams bring their expertise to public outreach events, such as green fair and town festivals, to:
Show the benefits of driving electric
Talk about valuable incentives
Put idling misconceptions to rest (no, you don’t need to “warm up” your car)
Answer your clean transportation questions

Outreach Request Form
Use this form to request our EV and Anti-idling teams at your event. Please note:
- DEP participation is dependent on staff availability. Completion of this form does not guarantee our attendance.
- Outreach forms should be completed at least 8 weeks prior to the scheduled event.
- If there is a problem with the form or you don’t hear from us within 10 business days, please email drivegreen@njdepwptest.net.
