It Pays to Plug In – Corridor Fast Chargers

Corridor fast chargers are those that are open to the public, provide 150kW or greater power, and are on the priority corridors identified in the strategic mapping.

It Pays to Plug In held a competitive solicitation from 4/22/2020-7/22/2020. $5.4 million of Volkswagen Mitigation funding was awarded for an estimated 36 fast chargers expected to be installed at 18 locations.

UTILITY EV CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE INCENTIVE PROGRAMS

If the Applicant is participating in It Pay$ to Plug In and a utility EV charging infrastructure incentive program simultaneously, the Applicant must notify NJDEP and the appropriate utility program of dual-participation.

What does Make-Ready mean? A Guide to Electric Vehicle Infrastructure. Make-ready is the pre-wiring of the electrical infrastructure at a site to enable it to accommodate a charger easily and efficiently. Make-ready infrastructure includes service panels, junction boxes, transformers, meters, conduit, wiring, etc. Make-ready does not include activation, hook-up, or price of charger(s).
