Firmenich and Penn Medicine co-hosted a workplace EV ride & drive at the Princeton Medical Center for their staff. Employees from both companies were invited to test drive an electric vehicle, browse EVs on display from local owners, and visit a handful of sustainability vendors, including DEP’s Drivegreen and Anti-Idling teams, SemaConnect, PSE&G, and Terracycle.

October 3, 2022 – Atlantic City, NJ (Atlantic County)
The NJ Board of Public Utilities hosted an Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive during the NJ Clean Energy Conference at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. Participants had the opportunity to test drive one or more plug-in electric vehicles, chat with DEP’s EV team, and browse through EVs on display from local owners, DEP staff, and a special appearance from a MINI Cooper SE. The event also welcomed an all-electric school bus on display from BYD Motors.

The Borough of Edgewater hosted an Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive and EV Showcase at Edgewater Commons. Participants had the opportunity to test drive one or more all-electric vehicles, browse through EVs on display from local owners, chat with our EV and anti-idling teams, and visit clean transportation and sustainability minded exhibitor tables.

June 24, 2022 – Holmdel, NJ (Monmouth County)
Sustainable Jersey held their 2022 New Jersey Sustainability Summit at Bell Works in Holmdel, which attracted change-makers from across political, private, and public sectors. Our Anti-Idling team tabled inside the exhibitor area along with Plug In America, who registered attendees for test drives. The EV ride and drive took place just outside and included an EV display area with fleet EVs from JCP&L (plug-in hybrid utility truck), First Priority Group (all-electric Ford E-transit equipped with their advanced auxiliary power system, PowerPLUS), and DEP (all-electric Chevy Bolt and plug-in hybrid Chrysler Pacifica), as well as personal EVs from our staff and volunteers.

This Ride and Drive took place at the Washington Borough Business Improvement District’s Sustainably Green Music & Arts Fest. Our DriveGreen and Anti-Idling experts joined Plug In America in the municipal parking lot at 44 E. Washington Ave to facilitate the test drives next to a static display of electric vehicles, including 2 Chevy Bolt EUVs from Rossi Auto Group, our own plug-in hybrid Chrysler Pacifica, and a handful of personal EVs from our volunteers.

Penn Medicine Princeton Health hosted an EV Ride and Drive at the Princeton Medical Center and invited the community as well as their staff to the event. Along with the test drive vehicles, DEP and Plug In America were joined by Princeton eBikes (who provided 2 electric bicycles participants could try out), ChargePoint, Sustainable Princeton, and an impressive display of EVs from our volunteers and local EV enthusiasts.

May 21, 2022 – Brick Township, NJ (Ocean County)
The Ride and Drive event was held in conjunction with the Brick Township Annual Green Fair. NJDEP had two tables set up in the main event area to provide information on our No Idling and Electric Vehicle programs and had multiple tables/tent set up across the street to conduct the ride and drives. To compliment the test drive vehicles, two of Plug In America’s volunteers offered test rides to attendees in a Rivian R1T and Tesla Model 3. All American Ford Point Pleasant also brought their fully electric Ford E-Transit to display in our EV showcase.
