NEW JERSEY INFRASTRUCTURE BANK

The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (NJIB), composed of two in but not of independent state financing authorities – the Environmental Infrastructure Trust (EIT or NJEIT) and the New Jersey Transportation Infrastructure Bank (NJTIB) – are empowered to issue revenue bonds to provide low interest loans and other financing tools to qualified municipalities, counties, regional authorities, water purveyors, some water treatment operators and regional authorities to finance the construction of eligible environmental and transportation infrastructure projects.

Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) is the most comprehensive source of information on federal, state and local incentives and policies that support renewables and energy efficiency in the United States.

DOE’S ENERGYSAVER

Visitors to the Department of Energy’s EnergySaver page can find financial incentives and assistance for energy efficient and renewable energy products and improvements in the form of rebates, tax credits, or financing programs.

SUSTAINABLE JERSEY

Sustainable Jersey is a network, certification program and movement of municipalities, schools and school districts working collectively to bring about a sustainable New Jersey – strives to connect participating communities with financial and technical resources to successfully complete actions and make progress towards a sustainable future.

ALTERNATIVE FUELS DATA CENTER

The Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) provides a wealth of information and data on alternative and renewable fuels, advanced vehicles, fuel-saving strategies, and emerging transportation technologies, including federal and state incentives for alternative fuels and vehicles, air quality, fuel efficiency, and other transportation-related activities.

ENERGY STAR

Energy Star is the federal government-backed symbol for energy efficiency, providing simple, credible, and unbiased information that consumers and businesses rely on to make well-informed decisions. Comprised of many programs for industry, business, and citizens, perhaps the most well-known is the Energy Star certified product program which helps make it easy for consumers and businesses to purchase products that save them money and protect the environment.

AMERICAN CLEAN POWER

American Clean Power, formerly the American Wind Energy Association or AWEA, represents companies from across the clean power sector, including wind and solar companies. Here is a description of the two primary tax credits powering renewable energy implementation nationally.

SOLAR ENERGY INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is a 1,000 member organization representing renewable energy companies and affiliates in job creation, market rule formulation, and promoting the growth of solar energy usage.  SEIA’s description of one of the most important renewable energy tax credits is excellent and kept up to date.

FUEL CELL TASK FORCE

In 2020, the Fuel Cell Task Force was established to increase the use of fuel cells in the State and to provide information, education, and resources for that purpose.
