About the Program: Join NJDEP Fish and Wildlife staff to see what’s on the menu today! Participants will spend time fishing, clamming or harvesting whatever happens to be in season that day. Then it’s time to prepare your catch, and create a delicious meal.  This is open to anyone 18 years and older and will take place at the Sedge Island Natural Resource Education Center located off Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park.

Please note food allergies may not be addressed.

Facility: The Sedge Island Natural Resource Education Center is a rustic, renovated duck hunting lodge situated on an island, a mile from Island Beach State Park, in Barnegat Bay. It is now used as a residential environmental education facility. There are amenities that will help make the overnight workshop comfortable – like composting toilets, running water, common room, dining room, and fans. There are six bunk rooms that participants will be paired up to share. Please note there is no air conditioning but there are fans throughout the house.

Workshop Fee: $100.00, includes lodging, meals, equipment, tackle and bait.
